The following are examples of some of
the Web sites I've completed.
They will give you some idea of the
functional and design requirements that I can meet. |

This is my first "bi-lingual" site and it was a lot of fun! It is a big site, with heavy use of CSS and it has some basic dynamic functions like staff login and a hit counter. However, mostly I enjoyed the process involved in essentially building two sites: one in English and one in Spanish. Since I do not know Spanish, this was only possible with some really active and creative support and guidance from my client. Thanks to their POC and his helpers, I've learned a lot about how to do sites like this and look forward, hopefully, to more. |

This is another "dynamic" or database driven site, with password protected sections, event registration and payment, major searches of a multi-table database, web application forms and even dynamic, printable forms used by the organization's Board of Directors. I also built it with lots of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). I'm using CSS technologies more and more now, because the W3C folks are touting those as the future of the Web. I'm pleased with the way it turned out. |

The customer had some very specific requirements for the "look" of the site. He also wanted "links" to the various manufacturers' site that required some interesting use of page "includes" to maintain a visitor's connection to the Master Marine site. Also, like the Down Syndrome site (see below), I made the site easy to maintain with the client's copy of Adobe Contribute. |
LMD Architects |

On the surface a classically simple site, designed to permit a select group of clients to have access to design plans. Some tricky coding permits the LMD administrator to upload project files and then make database modifications on-line that set up password protected client access to the files. |

This was a big project - it took over a year of part time work! First, I worked on an Intranet or internal "Tool Store" that sells tools to employees. This is a full featured e-commerce application for staff use only. I also worked on their new Internet Appointment system (click on "Appointments" in their Web site's top menu). They have since had another agency re-code this, but the internal logic code remains the same. I also completed their internal personnel system. Very complex, with a lot of hand-coded SQL for the database interaction, javascript error checking, Cold Fusion functions, and more! Challenging and a lot of fun! The project manager for the work is a friend and my coding "mentor," Wilson Garis of Garis Enterprises. If you need powerful, custom-built business and financial web applications, you should contact Wilson. |
Safe Familia |

This is one of my "small business" sites. Two ex-firemen have started a buiness using song and entertainment to pitch fire safety programs to schools and othe organizations. This is the only site I've done where clients wanted sound - they have sample songs from their CD. |

This site specifically uses a lot of text, vice graphics, due to
their target audience. They just wanted the site built, 'cause they are able to handle their own maintenance. |

This site had heavy database requirements - tracking/managing
members, children, events, even T-shirt sales. The database section
is password protected, so its only accessible by the DSASA staff. Of note, I worked with the client to make this site very easy to update. I introduced the client to Adobe Contribute (Content Management Software or CMS) and they have become very proficient at site maintenance. |

This is my first site and the only time I used frames. Due
to having a very busy customer, I ended up doing most of the content
research, too. |
